It’s late. We have a grandchild that could be movin’ on out of her mama’s womb any minute and I need to be sleeping. However, this just came across the cyber headlines:
PETA wishes Obama hadn’t swatted that fly
WASHINGTON (AP) — The group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants the flyswatter in chief to try taking a more humane attitude the next time he’s bedeviled by a fly in the White House

PETA is sending President Barack Obama a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device that allows users to trap a house fly and then release it outside…Still, “swatting a fly on TV indicates he’s not perfect,” Friedrich said, “and we’re happy to say that we wish he hadn’t.”
I’m wild about critters. If I can I’ll encourage a spider to just leave, or figure it will catch the loose flies. So, do we call PETA?
A note to PETA: You have much more important work to do. They’ll make more flies that will land in your neighbor’s dog crap, then visit your plate of tofu and deposit miniscule poop all over that fine dish of soybean curd. Yum.
The Muse Pallet 
So what? Now we have whacko animal rights people wanting to protect flies? About 6 months ago, there wa a group in Sweden wanting “protection for plants.”
These are the same nutty people who thought it was great to spend almost $40,000 to save a sea lion after the Exxon Valdez incident. 100 yards back into the water, an Orca ate the sucker. Does anyone think just maybe the $40K could have been better spent on people and their needs?
If people want to spend great deals of energy on making the world a better place, maybe they should get their sh&t together somewhere besides between their ears.
My new favorite TV show is “Whale Wars.” I keep screaming at the Japanese whale hunters. What I scream is, “Use the harpoon guns!!! Shoot the Sea Sheppard inflatables. Forget the damned water guns!” But they don’t listen to me. Instead, lots of human lives get put at risk for some whales. Go figure.
So, saving flies just isn’t that out of line with the groups who back the liberal agenda. May they get what they can, while they can. Obama, like Carter, will be gone in one term. Stupidity, like sh&t, floats. People are starting to see it on the water. In 3 years and 7 months, we will be back to sanity.
Hopefully, the flies were not exposed to loud music, deprived of sleep, or made to be in the company of other insects. This country of ours has lost contact with common sense.

Obama is more than welcome to hunt flies at my house all day long. Probably the only way we can keep him from spending us into oblivion.
